Spring Dwell

We spent the last 4 days and 3 nights of our babymoon in Negril on the West End on the cliffs!  It was a three-hour drive from the other resort.

We stayed at Tensing Pen which was unlike any place we have stayed at before and a must if you ever plan a vacation to Jamaica!  (Thank you Sarah and Jamie for the recommendation!!)  The entire resort is built on the cliff in a small cove and there are access points to jump into the water.   There are only 17 bungalows on the property!  Many of the people we met were regulars who come every year to the resort.

Our Negril trip was very relaxed.

The property is so incredible that there was no need to leave!

It took me three days before I got the nerve to walk across the bridge.   I would always walk around it while Justin would cruise right across it!

We barely left the property and we just swam in the ocean and pool!

Justin jumped off the bridge multiple times…its 20 feet above the water! 

We walked down to the famous Ricks Cafe!   It was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel.  Ricks is known for its 55 foot jump that visitors can do and its a 85 foot jump that locals do!

So naturally, Justin did it  (don’t judge…I cant figure out how to flip the video)!

Sadly I could not partake because of the bump!  I guess we will just have to return someday!

We ended every night with a swim in the pool during sunset.

The hotel had a great bar and restaurant that overlooked the pool!

Everyday we relaxed a new fabulous spot overlooking the ocean.    There are tons of little perch’s along the cliffs with loungers and umbrellas!

It was a such a perfect trip!   I highly recommend Jamaica if you are looking for a new island adventure.   We both feel very relaxed and refreshed and looking forward to this big summer that is ahead of us!  xo

We had an amazing vacation in Jamaica!

We split our trip into two parts…We started at Ocho Rios on the north Eastern side of the island where its more rain-forestry and then ventured to the Western end of Island to the cliffs of Negril.

We stayed at Tower Isle in Ocho Rios which is an all-inclusive, adults only resort.  We stayed here for 4 nights and 5 full days.   We were immediately greeted by fruity cocktails upon our arrival!

The resort had a great gym so we worked out every morning and we were even able to take spin classes — our favorite!  We split most of our days between the beach and the pool!

We did at least one of the daytime activities each day – excursion, snorkel trip, catamaran, etc.

We spent one morning at Dunn River Falls. The most popular waterfall on the island.  Luckily we were the first group of the day!  This was definitely one of the highlights for us in Ocho Rios.

We started at the bottom and hiked our way up!

The resort had a boat and would take you out to a reef to snorkel a few times a day!

We also went on a catamaran cruise….which should have been called a booze cruise.

The resort had multiple restaurant options for lunch and dinner! All the food was amazing!

The baby definitely did not starve!

They even gave us a little treat for the babymoon…obviously the plate was for me and the bottle was for Justin!:)

Every night they had amazing entertainment.   Live musicians, beach parties, sing along at the piano bar, and live music on the beach.

After 5 days we were excited to see another side of the island!
