We spent this past weekend in KC!
My Mom and Molly hosted a FABULOUS baby shower for Baby Springs and we got to spend Fathers Day with my Dad! We flew in Thursday night and made it a long weekend which was great to not feel so rushed! We spent Friday hanging out with family and preparing for the shower!

The shower was robot themed! Molly did all the decor and it looked amazing! These little robots are now on display in the nursery!
We got so lucky and were able to be outside! It was supposed to rain but it held off until the afternoon after the shower wrapped up. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect!

Maleeya and Mona having fun!!
Justin and his Grandma Kindle and Aunt Vera. Vera hand stitched the most beautiful baby blanket for Baby Springs! It’s stunning and so incredible that she took the time to make it for us!
Maleeya!!
Janet brought the heart doppler from the hospital so after the majority of people left and it was only family…they all got to hear baby Springs heart beat! Saturday night we enjoyed the huge rain storm that came to town and just hung out with the fam!
Sunday Morning we had a brunch at the house with all the family! The Vaughan boys had came to town for the weekend and it was so great to see them! They took my Dad out golfing during the shower!
Connie has been journal-ing for years and looked back thru her old journals before she came to town….she found her entry from February 1st, 1980 where she attended my own baby shower here in Olathe at this same house 33 years ago. It was -14 degrees below zero when they left Iowa! It was 34 degrees when they left KS…sounds about right for mid-west weather! I loved hearing the details from back then and it was pretty amazing that these women were able to join for Baby Springs Shower!
Reilly, Nana, Jordan and I!
We spent the rest of Sunday taking my Dad out!! We took him shopping for some new clothes, got him new golf shows, took him for Chinese food (his favorite) and out to see Man of Steel at his favorite theater where they have HUGE recliner seats! It was a great day and I was so happy I could be in KC to spend it with him!!
The seats are hilariously huge!
All in all it was great weekend and I was so happy to come home one last time before Baby Springs makes his arrival. I am officially 30 weeks now which means I only have 10 weeks to go!! He will be here before we know it!!
Thank you everyone for coming! It was such a special weekend and hopefully one that I can tell Baby Springs about when he is older! And a BIG shout out to my Mom and Molly for such a lovely shower!! xo
